Abby Vargas is a Bay Area College Affordability Advisor working primarily in the San Francisco Unified School District. She is a graduate of Chico State University, holding a B.A. in Psychology. Over the last 5 years, she has worked as a writing tutor both through her university and independently, assisting her peers with essays and other types of academic writing. As a first generation college student, she experienced firsthand how overwhelming the financial aid process can be, and through uAspire is working to demystify the financial aid process for high school seniors.

Abby is a part of the uAspire community because she admires their mission in reducing the education/degree gap for disadvantaged populations across the country.
