As the Senior Director of Training and Support, Bernadette plays a critical role in managing and facilitating uAspire's suite of college affordability trainings for new advisors and other staff members. Apart from training, she also is a thought partner for advisors, providing technical support as they navigate diverse student situations related to financial aid. Bernadette began her work at uAspire as a College Affordability Advisor in her hometown of Springfield, MA, and developed a deep passion for working with young people. Before joining uAspire, she worked as an Academic Advisor at UConn while pursuing a Master of Arts in International Studies. She is a proud graduate of American International College where she earned her Bachelor's degree in International Business. My own journey to college was rocky, foregoing my first choice college because my family couldn't afford the tuition bill. uAspire's mission of helping students find an affordable path to and through college resonates deeply with me for this reason, and I feel privileged everyday to work at uAspire towards this end.
