Candice Buhrman
Senior Accountant
As the Senior Accountant, Candice is responsible for managing financial operations including overseeing grant budgets, expense tracking, and accounting processes.
Candice has diverse experience working in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors, with the last several years dedicated to nonprofit organizations. She recently worked at INROADS and, prior to that, at the Missouri Foundation for Health, where she played a key role in streamlining processes, implementing new HR and accounting systems, and managing benefits.
Candice holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and an MBA from Western Governors University.
I chose to work at uAspire because I deeply resonate with their mission to improve the economic mobility of underrepresented students, especially given my own struggles with affording college and navigating the FAFSA process. I believe in their vision that every student should have equitable access to education, and I’m passionate about helping others overcome the financial barriers I once faced.
