Cynthia Rivera Weissblum knows firsthand the challenges and successes of growing and sustaining nonprofits. In her role as CEO the Edwin Gould Foundation she conceived and developed the EGF Accelerator, New York’s long-term residential and remote incubator for nonprofits. Cindy works closely with CEO’s and leadership teams on organizational and board development, evaluation and metrics and fund raising and network development.  Cindy is a master coach helping leaders develop confidence and skill while building high-performing organizations. She often speaks nationally on issues of educational equity and leadership. 

Previously, Cindy was President of Results Collaborative, advising foundations on donor strategy. She served as CEO of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and during her tenure earned the N.Y. Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Award. She was the director of New York State’s Mentoring Program. She honed her skills and developed perspective while working in student development and educational equity at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the University at Albany, and Rutgers University. Cindy is the Chair of the Board of the Solon. E. Summerfield Foundation serves on the Board of uAspire and is on the Advisory Board of Latino U College Access.  She is a lecturer at New York University’s Steinhardt School and the recently served as the commencement speaker at Mercy College. Cindy earned a BA, MS, and post-graduate certification in counseling psychology from the University at Albany. She has informed legislation and strategies to address obstacles preventing low-income students from thriving. Cindy is an advocate and entrepreneur building social impact organizations. As a first-generation college graduate, she is deeply grateful to those who have guided her and, with great joy, serves as a mentor to many young people and their families
