Jeneva Diaz
Scholarship Manager
As the Scholarship Manager, Jeneva is in charge of launching and overseeing the launch of a new scholarship in San Francisco. She will manage and administer the scholarship while also building meaningful partnerships with schools and community organizations!
Before joining the uAspire team, Jeneva was an elementary public school educator in San Francisco. In her experience as an educator, Jeneva always centered her teaching philosophy around empathy, equity, and empowerment. As an educator, Jeneva provided researched-based, data driven curriculum, but also developed meaningful and trusting relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community-based organizations. Jeneva also worked as a Literary Resource Teacher, in which she administered whole school professional development sessions and provided literacy training for CBO partners. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Educational Studies from UC Santa Barbara and her Teaching Credential from CSU San Marcos.
As a former educator, I have always instilled in my students that education is an avenue to create real world change. I firmly believe that all students, regardless of their backgrounds, should have access to an equitable education. This belief is the reason that uAspire's mission resonated with me, as uAspire is helping students from underserved communities break down barriers to access higher education. I am excited to work with uAspire to continue making a lasting and positive impact on the Bay Area community!
