Madhura is a College Affordability Advisor with the MA team. They primarily help college students with navigating financial aid, with a focus on supporting students of color and first-generationstudents from low-income backgrounds. Prior to uAspire, Madhura has worked with college students as a Conversation Partner with the Five College Center for World Languages, as well as as a community organizer with UMass Amherst Students for Justice in Palestine and Dissenters. Madhura graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.A. in Linguistics and a minor in Political Science.
Everyone should have access to higher education, but it still remains extremely expensive and beyond reach due to the systemic barriers that disproportionately affect students – particularly students of color, low-income, and undocumented students. As someone who recognizes these realities, I am drawn to uAspire’s genuine desire to support students and make college more accessible for all.
