Madison is an All-Regions College Affordability Advisor in the Bay Area, providing coverage support for both Afford and Succeed College Affordability Advisors in the Bay Area, New York, and Massachusetts. Madison started at uAspire as a College Affordability Advisor, where she provided support at various high schools in Oakland and Hayward to students and families with applying for financial aid and informing them about all thing's college affordability. She is a college graduate of University of California, Davis with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Community Devlopment. I chose to work at uAspire because as a first-generation college student and student of color, I have witnessed first-hand the struggles and hardships that come with navigating the college application process, including the financial aid system. I believe everyone regardless of race, class, or economic status deserves access to the resources and support to help make this process of applying for financial aid easier to approach. Having previously been a part of a college access program myself, I have experienced the positive impact it can have on students and hope to provide the same level of support for others.
