Warriors Community Foundation Supports uAspire During NBA Hiatus
May 20, 2020
By Audrey Jerome
The Warriors Community Foundation, in partnership with Salesforce, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), the Koret Foundation and Taube Philanthropies, recently granted uAspire $62,500 as part of the Warriors’ Hoops for Kids Program.
During the regular NBA season, each Warriors three-pointer yields $500 for eight non-profit organizations working locally to improve opportunities and successful outcomes for youth. Due to the hiatus, an estimated number of three-pointers for the remaining 2019-20 games was combined with Golden State’s 678 made three-pointers, resulting in a total grant of $500,000 which provides eight organizations with $62,500 each.
uAspire is enormously grateful to the Warriors Community Foundation for their continued support amid the current COVID-19 crisis as we continue our work serving young people in the Bay Area. Thank you for highlighting our program in this Hoops for Kids video presented by Salesforce:
