As a first-generation college student, getting my degree from Curry College and applying for graduate school is a massive accomplishment, and it's not just for me—it's for my mom as well.

From a young age, the idea of going to college was instilled in me, and by the fourth grade, I knew that I wanted to major in psychology and become a therapist.

When it was time to start applying for college, I felt that I understood the application process, but the FAFSA was a challenge, so I set up an appointment with our on-campus uAspire advisor, Chelsea.
My advisor helped me make sense of college costs. When I received my award letters, she broke down the numbers and information so I could visualize exactly how much each school would cost and make the best decision. I could not have done it alone."
Since my senior year in high school, I have had a few uAspire advisors and I felt so supported and comfortable with each one. They continue to help me feel more prepared for my future and plan for the financial aspects of attending college, which makes a world of difference.

uAspire is one of the most helpful resources for students applying to college. I'm so grateful for their support.
